The staff here is great - especially the guy who we think is the owner. Always very happy to see us! We stop by frequently for the lunch buffet. You've got to get there at the right time (not too early, not too late) to get the freshest pizza and biggest selection. But when you do, it's all awesome and they keep bringing out fresh pizzas - they might even ask what you'd like! I particularly love the Chicken Club and the Pineapple Chicken Luau. Check them out!

Insanely expensive! A one topping large pizza will cost you around $20.00. This is sticker shock to a guy who is used to paying around $12.00 for the same pizza. The buffet is over 10 bucks each also. Buffet's are always a rip-off at a pizza place because you get more food paying by the pizza and you can take the leftovers home for cold pizza on Saturday morning! But it's nice to splurge once in a while and get the salad bar too. The buffet review will have to come later. I was offered 4$ off a large also so that helped make the extreme prices a LITTLE more palatable. I understand that it's tough to pay the rent in Healdsburg and that is probably the reason for the out of control pricing at both Mountain Mike's (MM) and Roundtable. But this is no gourmet pizza. That said, the pizza tastes amazing. That is, it tastes amazing because I love pizza. But as far as pizza goes it is pretty average. They did use fresh mushrooms, which I prefer when eating mushrooms. I had a loaded pizza and it was a little soggy. I presume it would be better if you only order one or two toppings. They have only two crusts, thin and regular. Both are hand-tossed crusts. Mine was the latter. Good cheese, above average sauce and decent meats, nothing out of the ordinary. So if you are hankering for pizza and can't drive out of town for either cheaper Domino's or Pizza Hut or to get a higher quality, expensive pizza, Mountain Mike's will do.

My wife and I stopped in for pizza and we were pleasantly surprised. The pizza was terrific. The thick crust was fantastic. They really load on the toppings which tasted fresh. The staff was terrific. When you order a pizza they give you a great deal on a bottle of wine to go with it. In our case we got a delicious, large pizza that was loaded with toppings, a pint of beer and a bottle of cabernet for 33 bucks. We are only in town for a week but if I get an urge for pizza in the next week I will definitely be back.
