The food is delicious and the price are fair. It's a cafeteria type of set up. As your walking into the restaurant, the walls are lined with photos of food. Basically your menu is on the wall as your waiting to be next on the register. Make sure to take cash only. The don't accept card but their is an ATM on site just in case.

Been coming for years! The soups here are tasty. My favorites are the chicken wild rice and split pea ham. Most lunch and dinner plates come with Texas toast and fries or baked potato. I like the hamburger steak and request grilled onions and mushrooms. Fresh salads, desserts, coffee, tea, and water available. They do charge refills for soda though. Prices are economical. One thing : CASH only, atm is available.

For the price, it's decent. $8 for a steak dinner and a side of mashed potatoes and toast. It's pretty obvious not to expect a quality steak for that price, so the meat is tough and a bit dry, cooked at medium. None the less, most people I know love this place, but having had better steaks over the years I've turned into a bit of a snob. If you're dining by yourself, do you a favor and get a nice cut of prime beef for about $17 at Costco and cooked it at home. But if you have a large party to feed, are in a hurry, or having a quick lunch Sundowners is the way to go. Food is ready quite fast, even in the busiest of times.

Good food at a GREAT price. Ordered steak which is something I'm very particular about and not only did they cook it properly but it was tender, juicy and flavorful. Pleasantly surprised I would recommend giving it a try.
