Great place with great service. There are many comfort food choices. Not a big fan of the breakfast here, because they use margarine not real butter. But over all good. Great pie's too!

I grew up going to Ryan's..They support the local community. They sponsored me in my pagaents when in High School and later when I became a teacher they sponsored my History Club . I ate at least 5 meals a week at Ryan's during my first pregnancy (steamed vegetables and rice). The waitresses all know my kids by their first name and we are treated more like family than business acquaintances. The food is always great and the pies are out of this world (especially The Cream Pies). Reasonably priced, take a pie home , for next to nothing. In my opinion, Ryan's is the best place to eat in town.

Its. . .just OK. A lot of locals seem to be good with it, and there's nothing to really pick on, but it's just nothing special. It's clunky. The food gives me immediate need of a comfort stop evert time, regardless of menu item. The staff is nice enough, and they try to be small town friendly to the patrons, so there's that. The portions though, HUGE!!! If you go away hungry, it's either your fault for not eating or its because something went VERY wrong with your order. Seriously, the servings are served on platters, not plates. A plate simply wouldn't do. The menu is large; larger than need be really, but that's an observation, not a dig. Go, visit, eat, expect it to be an OK time, and it will be an OK time. You won't have wasted money based on shear volume of servings. And the team is spot on in replenishing your coffee or tea.

Typically, if you're looking for a good steak, you won't go to a diner. If that is your expectation, then it will be met at Ryan's place. There are excellent servers and some well cooked meals. Overall, Ryan's place is your typical diner with good service and somewhat reasonable pricing.

I would say 4.5, but I'll round up. Service was slow in the beginning took a while to get seated and our drink orders. It picked up after that and I had no further complaints. The food was very good, of particular was the Home made cinnamon roll. Was very fluffy and moist, with the raisans piled on top, one of my favorite cinnamon rolls i have ever had. The biscuits and gravy was "perfect" in the words of my SO. Hash browns and palace were also good, pancakes were not huge but fluffy and flaverfull. Other than the initial service was a very good experience will definitely be returning.
