I tried calling them to make reservations however it took four different times to get a hold of someone. On the third attempt they finally answered the phone however they stayed quiet but I can hear the background noises and I then asked if I could make reservations and they then hung up on me. I called one more time (4th time) and a girl actually said "thank you for calling Benihana" and I explained to her that I had just called to make reservations and the person who answered hung up on me and never did she apologize she just asked "For what date and time" and when I answered "for today" she didn't even let me complete the word "today" because she quickly replied we are booked completely for today. Based on this experience over the phone, I can only imagine how their service is at the actual restaurant. Please make an effort to work on your customer service skills.

Trust the recent negative reviews and notice the recent/desperate attempt at damage control from the owner... This is all the negative of a corporate owned franchise, without any of the expected positive (consistency, quality control, etc)... Our order was take-out but still initial impression was that the place was a dump. Regardless, our order was missing several items, steak (fillet) was well-done vs the rare we ordered, and sand/grit in the side salad sealed the deal. It's been about a couple hours since our meal, and my stomach is a bit queasy... Regardless of whether I survive this experience or not, I can promise I won't be eating food from this place again.

The quality of the chefs has really gone downhill. Every time we go, we either get a trainee or a novice. Rarely do you get a top notch chef anymore.

I was honestly fairly disappointed with my experience here. Even with reservations, it took about 15 min to be seated. Once seated, it took quite a while for our chef to come to the table and prepare our food. Even then the food was average, as well as the "show" portion of the meal. I can't say the food was bad, but if it weren't for it being prepared in front of me I would never bother with it. Additionally, the restaurant was fairly dirty. There was lots of bits of trash and food scraps in the carpet and the bathrooms were in disrepair. I'm fairly surprised that a well known chain doesn't enforce basic standards that well.
