Excellent experience! Their lunch menu is varied and you can select any thing from salmon to steak sandwich and even beef tacos. I asked if I could have something larger and they specially ordered a ribeye steak for me. It was perfectly cooked. Best crab cakes I’ve had in a long time, we had two orders. Very few customers at that hour but the service was great

This is one of my favorite places for lunch. Kim at the bar is very nice. She knows what I like to order and brings my drink over just as I'm sitting down. The iced tea is very good. They have a daily lunch special which is $9.00-$10.00. The burger on Monday is a great deal. Its normally $13.00. Yes its the same as the regularly priced one. The resturant is clean and the bathrooms are very nice. Parking on a busy Friday could be challenging especially during December. Make a reservation in December. Most other days during lunch there is a table available in the dinning room. You'll find me in the bar area at the table closest to the wine storage. See you there!

Service and drinks was amazing and the food was good. It probably falls short of the pricing.

2 stars is a little generous. Would have been 1 star if not for the personalized birthday menu. This was my first and almost certainly last visit to Forbes. I should have visited before the staff shakeup. Adam Bortolussi is still listed online as the Executive Chef of the Danville location, but I had read about losing him and our menu confirmed that, listing J.B. Hernandez as the EC. Starting with the service, it was just mediocre at best. Nothing stood out and I could have easily been at a random diner vs a supposed "white table cloth" restaurant. Service was slow, even on a slow night with what looked like adequate staff on hand. They either did not come by very often or duplicated visits such as coming by to take our order twice. No one was particularly friendly with the exception of the woman who came by once (possibly a manager?). She was pleasant and friendly, but that was it. No one came by and asked how the food was, because I would have said the following: I had the lobster tail add-on and it had to be one of the worst (completely over cooked) tails I've EVER eaten. It was as if it had been cooked that morning and left on a warming tray all day. The flavor on my "center cut" NY was fine, but the meat itself was a little tougher than I expect from a NY. The April prix fixe was just ok. The scallop was the highlight, with the filet falling midpack and the sundried tomato steak concoction being a pass. My family and I eat out very often (probably more than we should!) and this was one of the biggest disappointments from an expectation vs reality standpoint. I really wanted to like Forbes, but it looks like I really should have made the effort to visit before they lost their chef and joy for service.

Just had to cancel mother's day due to mom being ill and Forbes Mill still charged $75.00. $25/person. Now I was looking forward to eating there but the taste in my mouth right now is that will never happen.
