The food was outstanding. I went at happy hour and they were preparing for an event but still gave great service. The food came quickly so did the drinks. The oysters were really good.

What an amazing little jewel!! My boyfriend and I had the macadamia nut crusted halibut, with green beans, and mini potatoes! The portions were very generous! The flavor of my meal on a scale of 1-10 was a twelve! The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and inviting! We sat out on the enclosed patio with wonderful heat lamps and the temperature was perfect! and Each table has a small candle and delicate fresh cut flowers. The service was outstanding! I don’t give compliments freely and I can be tuff to please! Our waiter was fanominal, a tall red haired well groomed gentleman, “Jeff”. He was polite, professional and a charming personality! Every time I asked for lemons, etc. he was quick to respond with a smile. His service was the best my boyfriend and I have ever had. My boyfriends name is also Jeff, so we won’t forget him. Sea Salt is an awesome dinning experience, we’ll be back!

The place has a great view of the estuary of the San Dieguito River and a nice atmosphere. I had the veggie ravioli and it was really good. This is one of my favorite places around San Diego, not too busy, romantic, great food and beers.

I would rate this as 3.5 stars if I could. The service was okay, but not great. The food was good, but not great. The ambience was good, but not great. Maybe I would have bumped up the rating on ambience if it were not overcast, because we were seated on the patio with a view of what would have been the sunset. Service speed was good, but not great. Price is average for a seafood and sushi bistro. The Alaskan king glazed fish cost $28, and I would give it 4 stars. The spicy yellowtail roll is $10, and I give it 3 stars, with a bonus half star for the portion size. The 858 roll is $15, and I give it 3 stars. They have a decent selection of beer, wine, and sake.
