I don't rate too many 5 stars. This dinner here at McNamara's truly was a great experience. Normally my family an I would normally go-to house of prime rib in San Francisco. Yet it's not so convenient for us. House of prime rib is very limited on their menu of what is offered. Since this restaurant is located closer. The accommodations were excellent. The service, food. Truly amazing. I ordered the special which was prime rib with sautee mushrooms in bernaise sauce with 3 grilled prawns on top that was tossed in garlic. Heaven in each bite. McNamara's menu has so much to offer. So much variety. I really can't wait to share my next experience here @ McNamara's.

Blackened Prime Rib special was tender and flavorful. Glen, the piano player, was very good and played long sets. Service was very good. This Saturday evening was unusually busy, thus the table conversations were occasionally loud.

Nice and cozy environment. First time, and the food was good. Our server was nice, but for a moment got impatient because my wife wanted to change her order. For the most part the experience was nice. Would come again.

EXCELLENT wait staff. Food was good but not excellent. Wife's steak was crazy salty. Chicken (from the mixed grill special), had a very odd texture, like it was raw but it was definitely fully cooked. Even the waiter agreed and suggested maybe because it was cooked in an 1800 degree oven. My ribeye was very good. Drinks were very good. Oysters we're great and the herbed butter that came with the head was great. Wedge salad was also very good.

Lunch with customers and it was interesting. First off there we three other tables occupied and all were from the greatest generation. No disrespect but I believe the senior discount was very much in play. That said, the Kobe burger for $14 was an knock out. Blows Wendy's or Carl's Jr. Out of the water, Five guys too. Steak salad and New York were ok. Service was 50/50 but overall better than three stars.
