One of the best places to get sushi in the east bay. It's super small seating only 20 people maybe. It's worth the wait though. Their service is fast and nice. All their rolls are made to order and delicious.

I stumbled upon this place when I was craving soup, and I was so impressed with their very reasonable sushi prices that I also went for the Chef's Special of sashimi. I am really pleased with the quality and taste of their fish - having gotten the same order twice now, it was really consistent, and had none of that "I've been frozen and refrozen" blandness that some sushi fish has. The soups are all very inexpensive and really hit the spot as well. Friendly, efficient service despite always being packed with diners and take-out orders. It's a small area so I wouldn't suggest going with more than 3-4 people (2 is ideal)...My new favorite spot for simple Japanese!

The service and sushi were terrible. The woman who took my order was very unpleasant and didn't even greet me. My rolls were also very sloppy in presentation and the rice to protein ratio was unacceptable. I used to frequent this place years ago and am sad to say their quality has diminished. I will not be going back. If you do dine here, you should eat in so you are able to examine your food before consumption. I do not recommend take out.

The best sushi place in the entire Bay. The fish is incredible and well priced. The miso soup is delicious and full of umami. I've never had a bad or even mediocre experience here. They are always GREAT!

For the Bay Area, probably the cheapest sushi you'll find, but don't let the prices fool you--the fish is fresh and high quality! It offers a fairly standard selection of sushi, but if you're used to Bay Area prices, it can almost feel like an all-you-can-eat place! We definitely enjoyed our fill. The space itself is almost the dictionary definition of hole-in-the-wall; it can fit fewer than 20 people, so there can definitely be a wait for seats inside. I'd order to go, expect the wait, or hope you're lucky with your timing.
