I live in Toronto and have family in San Diego. I make a point to drive up here for the food every time I'm in town. The food is delicious, but the hummus and bread is unbelievable. The cost to dine is very reasonable to the point I'm not sure how the restaurant turns a profit at these prices and large portions. I'm not complaining. I found the place accidentally a few years ago and now I'm an Ali Baba addict. I need help.

Excellent tasty food. Good value. Good and friendly service. Update: our last visit was not as pleasant and the food portions shrank dramatically.

Pretty much the only option as far as Mediterranean food in Escondido and luckily it's a good one. In my experience with this type of cuisine, if the hummus is sub-par / mediocre then expect the rest of the food to be the same. This place has excellent hummus and the portion sizes of their dinner plates are nicely generous. Plenty of parking in a nondescript strip-mall and the place is setup like a banquet hall with plenty of seating inside.

I think this is my new favorite Mediterranean Restaurant. Everything came out really good. The salad, their bread and hummus, amazing! Their group platter dinner is like meal fit for a king. Great flavors all around. The picture doesn’t do any justice. Between me and my wife we could only eat half of it. I’m glad I don’t have to worry about lunch tomorrow 😋. Oh, and their restroom is clean and virtually spotless. A huge bonus for me lol.

We come for the bread only ... the bread is the best. You've got to try it. Their hummus is very creamy and smooth. I tend to prefer lumpy but I still always order their hummus. The ali baba salad is good too I'll order again
