Once in a while you want southern food. I was surprised to find this place in Eureka. The servings are large and the staff is friendly. They have an off the menu if fried artichokes, delicious! And if you like chocolate, get the voodoo pudding if it's on the special board.

I really liked this place. It wasn't cheap but it wasn't killer. The real shock was really good vegetarian creole. Creole cooking is not known to be friendly to vegetarians but this place has mastered it. The cornbread was amazing. I read someone else complain about the Jambalaya. I don't know what happened with their food but my wife (who is from the south) loved their Jambalaya. My only complaints was that the service was a little slow and I couldn't take it with me to eat later.

Soup of the day was very delicious, chicken & rice soup Deep fried catfish entree with side of mashed potatoes... My girl ordered the The jerk chicken Side of Collard greens... Food is really good just would expect a little bit more portion size of which you are ordering with certain entreeā€™s...

Okay, where do I begin... the only reason why I'm giving this a one-star so I can be able to do a review. I decided to take my girl out to what I thought was going to be a good dinner experience. It all started good until we started to get our food. We ordered the fried pickles to start and she bit into a piece of plastic that was in the batter then we got our meal she ordered the blackened cat fish which was burnt and tasted like eating a piece of coal the sweet potatoes were cold she could even eat the stuff. And for me I ordered the chicken and waffles which was very dry there wasn't enough water to wash it down. Were both foodies and know what good southern food tastes like and this is not!! The service sucked and mind you we were the only ones in the restaurant. Oh and by the way we still got charged full price for such a horrible experience. Instead we ended eating at Carl's Jr thanks.
