We stumbled on this place. The Almond Joy ice cream was the best ice cream I think I have ever had. During our travels we stopped at 3 of the places they serve. Mendocino at Frankie’s,their store in Fort Bragg, then we HAD to stop in Willetts just for the Ice cream. We also tried the pralines n cream, cookies n cream, and mocha almond fudge. All great. Can we open one in Fort Mill SC?? It’s so good! Sorry only 1 pick. We ate the rest before we could get photos...

Yummy ice cream! Cute little place in the middle of town. We've been a few times, and they are never too busy. We came about 3. No body inside. We both got the honeycomb ice cream. Yum! We tried the mushroom, and didn't care for it. The Ginger one was good. The ginger is super strong. We got cones. For 1 scoop on both, on sugar cones, it was about 8 bucks. Not too bad. They also have sundaes, waffle cones, banana splits, shakes. In another case they had chessecake on a stick, chocolate covered cherries, and a few other treats. Good selections. Cookie dough, rocky road, praline. Etc. Good ice cream. Pretty clean inside. There was 1 guy in that helped us. Nice enough. No smiles or chit chat. We will be back

Yes, a lot of people will mention the mushroom ice cream, but I judge any ice creamery by how well they do the basics. Their vanilla is smooth, creamy, and excellently flavored. The butter pecan is long on pecans, with a wonderfully tasty base. And yes, the mushroom ice cream is better than you would expect. Definitely worth a stop if you're in town.

COWLICKS ICECREAM, FORT BRAGG: On vacation, my whole family and I stopped here to try the handmade icecream. We had heard it was good, and couldn't resist giving it a go. It wasn't oversold. It has to be the best icecream I have ever eaten, bar none. I've included several photos showing the different selections we tried. I had a hot fudge sundae, my husband taste-tested a vanilla bean and a couple other flavors, and as you can see, we didn't stop there. Parking was difficult as the street was busy and no parking garages or structures seem to exist--only available street parking; so, we parked a ways away and walked. But the problem with parking was worth the wait. We also had a wait inside because of the popularity of the place--still worth the wait. The ice cream is so creamy and smooth and even though it is hand made, there are plenty of flavors from which to select. If you get any where near here, stop in and have a cone or a sundae or a banana split, or anything your little ole' heart desires, made of ice cream. Pick your favorite flavor, you won't be dissappointed!

We went to Glass Beach and then to cowlick's for a family date. They had great ice cream and the waffle cones were perfect for us all.
