My in-laws live down the street and we've passed this a dozen times. We finally decided to take my mother-in-law here for Mother's Day a couple days early since we have to work. I really wish I had read the reviews before going. It's a cute little place inside with lots of Mexican decor. Lots to look at and keep you entertained for a few minutes. They bring you chips and two kinds of salsa for the table which were really good. They give you a small soda in a glass, which is $2 and they do not give refills, so you have to buy a new soda. You're finished with your first one before your food even comes, so you're guaranteed to buy a second. The lady who helped us was not friendly whatsoever. It was an older lady with glasses and dark hair. My in-laws are older, and get a little tongue-tied sometimes. They have a hard time understanding certain things and this lady was very short, and impatient with them. I ordered the two tacos and enchilada plate which came with beans. The tacos were pretty good. I got chicken. For some reason they put minced up olives over everything. I got a beef enchilada which was okay. I wouldn't order it again. They kind of just fold it in half like a soft taco really. And the beans were just terrible. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Everybody at the table agreed that the beans were lacking. My mother-in-law got it the chili rellenos, and an enchilada. It came with beans and a side salad. She was sadly disappointed and said she did not like this place. My husband got a platter with a tamale, and enchilada, and a soft taco. He didn't care for the tamale and said it was mostly Masa, which I actually liked. He said that the taco and enchilada we're okay. Again the beans not so much. My father-in-law got a pork burrito. That's where a lot of the confusion came in, because nowhere on the menu does it say anything about pork. It actually says it's chile verde which he did not know was pork and she had a bad attitude about it and didn't really want to explain it to him. He's the only one that actually liked his meal. They put enchilada sauce on it as well. It was pretty big. And he ate the whole thing. We decided to share a dessert of sopapillas. I'm not exactly sure what they are that they serve here but they are definitely not sopapillas. They're just basically a dense fried dough with cinnamon and sugar and honey. Sopapillas are usually Airy and fluffy and sweet. These were way too dense and heavy to be sopaipillas. But one order came with four pretty good size ones. The prices are pretty good. For 6 sodas, four meals, and one dessert it was about 86 bucks. So the prices are pretty decent, too bad the food wasn't. And the service was even worse. Don't think we'll be back.

Great atmosphere and wonderful people! The food is really pretty good tho the menu has not been updated for as long as I can remember. (12 years or more?) Margaritas are awesome and it's close to Mackerricher state park which is nice for a sunset after dinner.
