Went to Poppa Joe's for breakfast! The omelette I got was AMAZING but it was so much my friend and I could have split it. (Definitely will the next time we go.) HEADS UP: they only accept cash here. However the wait on our food was pretty long, almost 45 - 60 minutes after we ordered. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star.

Negative five stars. Don't eat here unless you are racist or you have all day to wait for your food. My family and I visited Ferndale to soak in the many places of interest, only to come across what we thought looked like a neighborly, low-key establishment. We got seated and ordered simple things -- sandwiches and burgers. We waited for our food for AT LEAST 70 MINUTES when it wasn't even busy. To make matters worse, the hometown boys with confederate flag apparel who showed up twenty minutes after us had eaten, paid, and left, 30 minutes before we even received our food. And when the food did arrive, the waitress didn't even issue so much of an explanation, let alone an apology. Luckily we took the high road, didn't make a fuss, and decided to never come back. And the food sucked.

Nice place, great food, big portions.

Nice little distraction from our vacation in the Redwoods. The burgers were fresh and delicious. The interior evokes memories of the bygone days. And we will think of this place fondly.
