Excellent food, great service, unique location in downtown San Mateo. Built into a historic bank building, which lends the "Vault" to Vault 164, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and a very cool interior. The food is great, with some unique offerings and execution. Prices are a little high, but worth it for the quality and flavor. Definitely worth the trip into downtown for the experience.

Pretty good food and bar selection. They have Buffalo Trace and very courteous bartenders. Great place for an afternoon, or after work drink with small plates.

Make a reservation if you're going on a weekend you ensure you don't have to wait. Food is great, staff is very pleasant, and they accommodate large groups. Not a lot of diversity in the menu, but the portions are large. A bit pricey, especially if you're drinking!

Really prompt service, in a casual and upscale setting in downtown San Mateo. I ordered the spinach salad with Scottish salmon, my wife the fish tacos. Both were excellent, albiet 25 dollars each for a total of 60 dollars for lunch (10 dollar tip included). It's steep for a quick bite at lunch, but we'll executed and we'll meaning establishment.

The entire menu sounds delicious. We were very happy with our cocktails, appetizer, and entrees. All around very happy, and all ordered from their GF menu. This is a good find if you’re needing GF options!
