We were visiting the Salton Sea and Joshua tree national park. We were driving back and forth when we were hungry. We checked Google maps at saw Mexicali cafe. BEST SUGGESTION. It started with an excellent young man named cesar who suggested we get these shrimp filled pepper. Which we did do and only wished we ordered more. Then we each had our main dishes and left very satisfied. So satisfied that we returned the next day, out of our way and each ordered a shrimp pepper plate each along with an equally amazing guacamole sauce. Thank you so much to Cesar for an amazing experience.

The food is great! Almost as good as Grandma makes! Fajitas are my favorite thing on the menu, and they can make a killer margarita. Everyone is is attentive and ready to assist. Great place for a casual dinner.

Visiting the area from NC, we asked a "local" to recommend a good Mexican restaurant and were directed here. We had fish tacos and Chile rellenos - both very good. The service was unbeatable. Great recommendation!

Best beans I've had in the valley! Everything is delicious down to the chips and salsa. Quality homemade food, great atmosphere and friendly service. One if the best Mexican food experiences around.

Great food! I love mexican food and this place is amazing. You have to get the shrimp stuffed peppers. The service was fantastic! Our waiter was super quick, very helpful with the menu and just a fun friendly guy. We will definitely be back!
