***CASH ONLY*** BBQ Express. The BBQ Express which I a part of Sam Woo only accepts cash. Be advised. However, there is a chase bank across the way in the same structure. So if you get caught out there, fear not, you will not have to wash any dishes for the night. Very delicious food. Reasonable prices. Very nice atmosphere. Good service. They are well staffed, always a waiter walking by. Came here for a lunch and it was not that crowded. No wait to be seated. Although, I was told that during a Sunday this place can get very crowded and it will be difficult to be seated. The Bbq is very crispy and flavorful. The fried rice was tasteful. I don’t remember the names of all the food that was ordered but everything was very good. We had some meals that had pork. Some that had shrimp. This leaf wrapped around a sticky rice which had Chinese sausages in it and pork. I will definitely come back. Again, the Bbq restaurant only accepts cash so be aware. I hope this review helps.

The facility is clean and their waiting system was organized but those were the highlights of this restaurant unfortunately. I'm no stranger to waiting in line for food here when visiting California but let me suggest that you make it worth your while by not coming here. The food lacks depth of flavor and their best dish by far is a slightly above average Peking duck. The wait staff was inattentive for the quality of restaurant they are trying to achieve here--this seemed more due to understaffing issues. I would suggest going elsewhere because there are at least ten other restaurants serving the same family style plates with more authenticity and flavor albeit in a slightly uglier facility.

The to go or BBQ side of Small Woo is great. Both restaurant share the same kitchen. The only difference is price and payment choice. The BBQ side is cash only and you can still order dim sum in the morning but its not listed on the menu.

I have not been in Sam Woo restaurant for the past decade. Recently I went to eat there and I was reminded of how good this restaurant really is. I grew up in SGV eating Sam Woo on San Gabriel. This place is more luxurious and cleaner and bigger. Awesome!

Cantonese restaurant. Live seafood. Dim sum. This place is newer, cleaner, bigger than most. The price and portion is what would be expected. The quality of the food during was just OK. Parking is the other downside.
