I discovered the Vine Cottage last April and like many others who have posted, I was disappointed when it abruptly closed. However, I was excited when I recently saw a banner on the building announcing a reopening. I stopped in the other night for a late dinner. Upon entering the restaurant I was immediately greeted by two staff members and was promptly seated. I decided to try the Vine Cottage Grass-Fed Beef Burger with Yukon gold fries. The beef was the right proportion and cooked exactly as I requested. I felt the wild arugula went well with the drunken goat cheese. A generous portion of fries were cooked to perfection, light crunch on the outside, tender on the inside with an extremely light dusting of Parmesan cheese. A beer would have been great with this plate, but it seems they are still working to get approval on a wine/beer license. The facility was clean and had a great ambiance. I will definitely go back.

Great service and good food! We had the short ribs which are really good and it came with risotto which was fair.. And we got the cheese board and some muscles - everything was very tasty. Just a heads up that they're not serving beer or wine yet. They warn you when you walk in and we saw several people that left when they found out.

I decided to try this place out since I was near by. we had the wings as an appetizer, which were okay at best. we had the fish and chips and the burger. fish was pretty bland and the fries were okay. the burger was not good. it tasted like it was burnt, even though it was medium well, and the bun was completely soggy, so we ended up asking for another bun. the server was friendly and attentive, but it was obvious she was inexperienced. overall, i wished i had gone to McDonald's instead.

Fish batter was oddly bright yellow. Flatbread pizza with mozzarella and prunes was so uninteresting that I took half home and did not want to eat it the next day. What happened? Your food used to be good.
