Had a good selection. I visited with a Chinese friends of mine and he said it was good Chinese food. So I think that speaks well for the establishment. Everything we got was great. The walnut shrimp dish was surprisingly sweet like a dessert. The eggplant with garlic sauce is also a sweet and enjoyable dish, not too garlic-y at all, which was a relief. Open late too!

Very busy , but the wait staff handled our table efficiently. We didn't feel rushed or neglected. This is a great little place to try if you're in the downtown Mt. View area.

Great place for authentic Cantonese food, just like being in San Francisco Chinatown.

Kirin is one of the best, authentic Chinese food restaurants around. They've been here for more than 20 years, and every time we go, we order seafood. The service is really nice, the atmosphere is peaceful, and it smells delicious in here... The walnut prawns have been my favorite ever since I was a little girl.

They were quick, and the two dishes we ordered were delishious and very reasonably priced. They stay open to midnight all weekend long ... 5 stars just for that! Service was very good and cordial. (If you need something just ask for it.) They are very conveniently located near the Mt. View Performance Center, which makes this a wonderful stopover before or after events. It's a great casual restaurant to meet with family or friends. It's one of the very few places where one can go and carry-on with conversations. There is no loud music to interfere with hearing. It's a very relaxing, satisfying restaurant. No expensive frills. I give them 4 1/2 stars.
