Upscale attitudes in a low scale restaurant. We wanted dinner and a relaxing atmosphere after work, but we didn't get either one. Hottest day of the year, they don't have any AC on and it's super hot inside, but their dress code prohibits me from wearing a tank top shirt? I've eaten at lots of classy venues, and I'm totally understanding of a place that wants an upscale clientele, but make it a bearable place to be. It was a limited, overpriced menu, in what was essentially a cheap diner with no air conditioning, and a snooty attitude like they are the Ritz. There are plenty of welcoming comfortable places to eat in the area, I won't be back.

A group of us met at the Pico Rivera location for a birthday celebration. Our waitress was very accommodating, always had a smile on her face no matter how many demands were made. We were there at least two hours celebrating and never felt rushed, uncomfortable or the need to get going. Thank you La Barca for a wonderful evening and meal.

My wife and I decided to try this La Barca. It was okay, a bit crowded with the local gatherings though. Not the same as the La Barca on Vermont Ave which is also crowded at times, but is still our favorite. The queso fundido at Vermont is tastier, but a smaller portion which is good since it's an appetizer.

Excellent shrimp cocktail. Most places skimp on the shrimp and I find myself eating a tasty cold tomato and onion soup, but not here. They are generous with the shrimp and octopus. I was very satisfied! The agua de pina was delicious too.

the food is good but it's too expensive I had to wait too long for my hash browns they only give you one slice of toast for breakfast the coffee is weak. it's not my first choice second third and fourth place to go usually it's just convenient so you won't be going there and much more.
