We found the food to be outstanding—from the bread to the desert. We tend to form our initial impression of a restaurant based upon the quality of its bread, and Cibo passed with flying colors. Then came the soup with its perfectly balanced flavors, neither too much nor to little of any of the herbs and spices. The salad was perfect, particularly since Cibo understood what "light on the dressing" means. Next came the entrees, and all we can say is WOW! The salmon with the blood orange sauce was delicious as was the mixed seafood grill. And, all of the seafood was cooked perfectly—neither under nor over cooked. Finally, desert, while scrumptious, was a disaster—at least for our waistlines. Of course, the ambience and the service were right up there with the quality of the food. Don’t think we could have asked for much more in a restaurant. We only regret that we had not found Cibo earlier.

Great happy hour! Goes till 7 everyday, lots of food options. Several vegetarian options on the happy hour menu and the regular menu. Can't beat $3 wine during happy hour. Outdoor seating a little small. Prices not on happy hour a little bit expensive, but typical of downtown.

The salmon with the blood orange sauce is amazing. The staff is old world excellent. One of my favorite spots in Monterey.

The food and music was fantastic. However, while sitting at the bar minding my own business, I witnessed the bartender over serving a guest who was being very disrupting and loud. He was engaging with numerous females and multiple times these females would excuse themselves and use the restroom to get away from his groping and unwanted touching. It took the man dropping his beer glass on the floor and it breaking before anyone said anything to him. He actually requested a shot of whiskey and thank goodness they did it give him anymore. Maybe it was the comment that I made to the female bartender that she should be ashamed of allowing this to happen and he being over served. This is the responsibility of management to train the staff and this should never happen. Even one of the gentleman in the 3 piece band came over and made comments to me that this gentleman was a regular and this has happened before. Shame on you Cibos.
