I've heard great things about this place and have really been wanting to try it. According to their own website, its opened at 11:00 on Sundays. I drove all the way there only to find it closed (it was past 1:00 p.m.) with no note explaining why. This was NOT cool. This experience explains my one-star rating . I am hungry, grouchy, and disappointed so I'm on my way to Sebastian's at The Tides.

Been going here for 9 years now. Now my son eats and loves it here. And if my family continues to grow they will be going here too. I am very picky with Mexican restaurants. My husband and I would try all the ones in Salinas back when we were dating and no luck. But 9 years ago I worked on Cass street my co workers recommended this place and I've been hooked. Now it's my family's tradition we always go here for Mexican food. We love the family that owns the Lopez restaurant and we love the food and atmosphere.

This place was better than others I've been to.

Im from out of town and staying in town, and decided to go in with the wife to try it due to all the good reviews and didn't even last 5mins when I left the place..how is it possible that they are a restaurant and cantina (bar) and don't have anything to do the most common drink in a restaurant bar, micheladas or chavelas. I also asked about a simple modelo bottle and don't have it.to top it off the waitress was rude and the facility conditions was very poor.smells like urine, and the floor wasn't even swept.tables weren't clean and the cook no gloves or hair net..i didn't even want to see the food..don't even deserve the star..
