Welcome to China Nestled deep inside a very chinese neighborhood, is an even more Chinese plaza, with a very Chinese restaurant that is packed with extremely Chinese patrons. You don't need to know how to speak Chinese because the menu has English in it so that you can read the very strange and broad translations for dishes like "Oil Gluten Plug Meat". Um.......what is "plug meat"? I can only guess what that is and it may be way off from what you're thinking. Most other dishes comprise of infamous brown sauce. Oh yeah! I don't even think Chinese people know what brown sauce is. It's brown...and saucy. Chicken with brown sauce. Beef with brown sauce. Pork with brown sauce. Mussels with brown sauce. What is it and why is it so awesome it needs to be in every dish?!

Really very nice. A notch fancier than most Chinese restaurants but not really that much more expensive. No MSG burn in the authentic food. Service was very prompt and polite. Has a few separate areas for large parties. Definitely a nice place to take the grandparents.

The food was forgettable and you could tell that the meat was right at the point before it goes bad. Some of the veggie dishes had already gone bad that we were served and tasted like such. Surprisingly the xiao long bao that came with our meal for free was THE BEST thing we ate that night. While they are not the most beautiful to look at the meat is so incredibly tender and juicy. I'd be back to eat the xiao long bao here any day!

I'm very glad we had dinner here. The service was great but on top of it the food is very yummy. We order a variety of dishes and they were all hearty portions and tasted good. Most of us come from Shanghai Area. This is a really Shanghai restaurant. I love the authentic food here, because it gives me my hometown taste. It is run by Shanghainese . When I was listening to their conversation and eating my food, I felt that I would stay somewhere in Shanghai.

Decided to check this place out because we didn't want to wait at Little Sheep next door. Pretty empty considering I came here at dinner time. But the food was actually good. Service was quick here too. Wouldn't mind coming back to try out their other dishes.
