Great new american food. Upscale atmosphere. I like their fresh-baked rolls. The sandwiches feel over-priced but their fish dishes are worth it. Good place to go for a reimbursed lunch or dinner. Their beer selection is narrow but you probably didn't come here for that anyways.

As it (successfully) strives to be a modern, hip and all-around-simple kind of eatery smack-dab in the middle of Silicon Valley, Scratch is a destination for both "foodies" and hungry people alike. Those looking for a good meal will enjoy a surprisingly varied menu (considering it aforementioned 'simplicity' of this restaurant) I won't go as far a saying that Scratch has large portions by any means, but it has very well thought out plates, drinks and deserts, all for a good value for the higher quality. Average entree will set you back approximately $25, but they have many smaller dishes as well as a very competitive happy hour (considering the food and beverage choices available). Overall, if you have the bucks for a solid meal and good drinks, you can't go wrong with Scratch in downtown Mountain View.

I like this place. At the end of Castro, it’s a bit more nice and quiet, but also not too far from the hustle to be inconvenient. Parking is a bit easier as well. The modern, sharp interior caught my eyes the first time I passed by. The service was good, food was like four out of five stars — not too amazing, but all around nice and satisfying. The breakfast coffee was impressively good.

Great style and ambiance, lacks a little in service. It just seems like the menu is a bit boring, it is, but not terrible. The dishes are excellent. The drinks and cocktails are good. The food is prompt. The specials were recited without relish, no emphasis on ingredients. It just seemed like they were going through motions, not providing an outstanding dining experience.

Upscale locale with outdoor seating and heaters. Decent beer selection and came accommodate large parties with notice. We had a reservation and they were able to seat us early. Not super busy during weekdays. Near to lots of great other bars.
