Great food. Nice people. Online prices are lower than actual shop prices, so be aware. All-in-all DELICIOUS. However, should be 3 piece fried chicken, not 2 piece, for almost $17.00.

This was my 3rd visit. I ordered the Split pea chicken soup, skillet fried chicken, & sorrel rum punch. All delicious. I love this place. Friendly, efficient service, great food, & a vibe that's somewhere between a neighborhood Brixton (London) fish & chip shop, a Barbados family eatery, and a Trinidadian rum bar. Unique place and great to have in downtown Oakland.

I liked our server, she was nice and super pretty rocking a bald cut. Our family over ordered because I thought the portions would be small, we had plenty for everyone and some to take home. Fun night out, we had to wait a bit to be seated but it was definitely worth the wait.

Our server Dai was more than accommodating b/c she took the time to explain all the dishes that were unfamiliar to us. We were a party of six and she exhibited such patience. On top of that the food is AMAZING.

The food and the service were worlds apart, the former excellent, the latter abysmal. Our party ordered a salad to share as an appetizer and three entrees of fish, chicken, and pork. The salad was okay and the entrees were all great, but the salad came out with the fish, followed five minutes later by the chicken and ten minutes later by the pork. My friend asked for a drink that didn't come, asked again ten minutes later, and then once more before he got it. I recommend take-out.
