Technically this place is good. The name and the bill certainly live up to the name. We came to Rich Table with a $200 gift card. We ended up paying an additional $150 despite bringing our own bottle of wine for corkage. We ordered a perfectly cooked piece of fish, and they poured some sort of hollandaise full of caviar all over it. So Rich. I enjoyed the ambiance and service, but it was a bit over the top for me.

Hubby and I had the chef picks for dinner a couple of days ago. Food was tasty, and sometimes really creative and interesting. Six different courses which were one course of bites, an appetizer course, a seafood course, pasta course and steak. And dessert. I have been avoiding wheat and dairy but chose to cheat for this meal. I'm not sure what they would have done if I had asked for that, since so many of the meals had wheat and dairy central to the flavor and concept. Nice ambience, not too loud, service was attentive but not overbearing.

It's no wonder this restaurant is one of only four in San Francisco that received their first Michelin Star in 2017. Rich Table serves up an ever changing menu of gastronomical delights that will awaken your taste buds and your imagination. It is almost impossible to get a reservation at this restaurant right now, due to their increased attention from their new status as a Michelin Star restaurant, but if you are willing to go at any time, the food is definitely worth the wait. The Chef's Picks included several rounds of appetizers, an intermezzo, a main course and dessert. Each round was as different and delectable as the one before and everything on the menu a work of art. If you are looking to impress a date, or a boss, this is the place to take them!

I have been here a few times by myself on business and had dinner at the bar. Tonight i took my entire team and had a 4 course family style meal. Normally I am shy of prix fix meals but it was absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend.

Believe the hype. This place is legit. The chef’s tasting menu is the way to go, really. One or two dishes won’t give you the full experience of the array of unique flavor profiles the chef is capable of coming up with. It’s worth the splurge, and it’s really quite reasonable to for a Michelin started tasting menu at under $100. I think it was $85 or $90.
