Ah...the good old classic Ruby's. We're all familiar with the classic look of Ruby's, but somehow, it just looks better located in the historic district of San Juan Capistrano. Located on the second floor and near the mission, it's a pretty good place for a lunch. The open air area is great for breezes. The food at this Ruby's is consistent with the other Ruby's. Don't forget about the refills on your unlimited fries. Oh, and major tip. A lot of school trips go to the mission nearby, so if you go during lunch, you might run into a large group of kids and your order might take extra long to come out.

As a group, we decided to sit at the Sky Ranch; little chilly but the staff was more than willing to move their spacers and do everything they could to make us comfortable. Great food, great atmosphere and exceptional staff! Always one of my favorites

Went to Ruby's to get 1 order of sweet potato fries, to go. Arrived at the register and a gentleman was busy on his tablet. He said he would be with me in a moment. Unfortunately for me, the phone rang and the gentleman proceeded to help the caller look for a reservation which he apparently did not have. I guess putting the caller on hold to help me us out of the question. Frustrated, I go to the counter to see if they can help me. I was greeted pretty quickly and then handed off to someone else. She took me to the register, where she proceeded to have a conversation with the gentleman who didn't have time for me about that same missing reservation. After I put my order in, I watched the cook drop my fries and then pull them out if the fryer, where they sat and sat, so he could chit chat with the waitress. He finally put the fries in a to go container and handed them to the waitress. She put the top on the container and then had to have a discussion about the soup, with the cook, before handing me the fries. 20 minutes later, I had my $5.00 sweet potato fries. Unacceptable. The employees at this restaurant work at their own pace and don't seem to care about the customer. I have never regretted purchasing fries as much as I did today. Lesson learned.

Unbelievably great service. We were a large party of 10. The Ruby's staff never missed a beat. Our out of town guest were impressed. Besides the food was yummy.

Nice atmosphere, closely located to the train station and service was very good. Food was just ok. The French fries and sweet potato fries were blah. I'm guessing they were warmed up. I like hot fresh fries.
