The Englander is an iconic San Leandro Institution. A large sports bar with lots of indoor and outdoor dining as well as a banquet room for large groups. The service is great and the food is your typical Pub fare with generous proportions. It's a great place to watch sports, go out with the family, or have drinks with friends after work. I've enjoyed many a date on warm evenings when we can sit outside. Pet friendly in the outdoor seating area too.

Needed a Sports Bar near the Oakland Colusium so we could see the Kentucky Derby before we went to the A's game...Englander is a great location. The chicken wings were to die for, service was excellent, and the help was very friendly.

Decent place, nothing to complain about. Had a small work function here; typical American gastropub dishes being offered but food tasted pretty good. Don't expect to come here for some quinoa salad or to count calories though.

Great place, great selection of beers with some coming from local breweries. Jim is the best bartender ever! Super guy, knows the beers and very cool. I can't wait to go back for another helping of some great food and a few more beers.
