We use to go to the Tex Wasabi's in Sacramento. I love the gringo sushi because I am not a huge sushi fan. The Santa Rosa location had the roads blocked off but we were able to find parking in the back. Walking in the restaurant it was clean with a nice atmosphere. We were sat down right away. The service was nice. We noticed that it was slow (we were there for lunch). Our food came out quickly and tasted great. We would come back again.

Came in at 5:45pm on a Sunday and Were completely ignored, in a systematic type ignoring out of a horror film. No eye contact from at least 4-6 employees buzzing around, not to mention no one spoke to us. Two employees popped out of the back ,apologizing insincerely for being in the back. When we were seated they let us know we wouldn't have happy hour pricing...lol...I looked at my smartphone and it was 6:02. The guy said, yeah, sorry I was in the back. I said that's fine I'm sure a manager will understand. Manager comes over and says, "Nope, Sorry, it's past 6." What a joke!!!! Never again Tex!!

I freaking love Tex Wasabi's! They have a really unique menu that is full of delicious options. At the onset, Texan Sushi does NOT sound okay. However, the owner, Guy Fieri does a slamming job combining seemingly incompatible flavors to make some of the best dishes you'll ever have. 10/10 would go again. It's a little pricy, but definitely worth it.

Just like anywhere there will be things on the menu you like and things you don't like. Over all is was nice and they were very accommodating to our big party. But our waiter was fantastic.
