The food was very good, especially everything that came off the grill - flavorfull and showed skill. The wine list was great. They also season their butter with black salt and it's really tasty. The Mac and cheese was good, but a little under seasoned and the cheese broke making the dish a little oily. Both the burger and the New York steak were cooked perfectly and delicious. The service was attentive, perhaps overly so. Overall we were a little underwhelmed when we saw there menu, but were satisfied with what we ordered.

Cosy place, nice ambience, friendly staff... the menu is limited somehow but everything we tried was good... we tried the fillet Mignon, buttermilk fried chicken, braised calamari and kale and fennel salad which were very good... I should say that the drink menu is very various.

My wife loved this place. I thought it was pretty good. Impressive decor, great service, food was good. Not sure why Google has it at only $$. It's a bit pricy, but on par with a restaurant of this caliber. Wanted to go to a place Facebook recommended but was closed down (someone should fix that). Found out the owner was the head chef at root246, so gave it a shot. My wife loved everything about this place and will probably be disappointed with the lack of enthusiasm in my review. ☺

Local fresh food. Awesome wine list. Must try if you're in the area.

Now that Chef Pink has taken the helm at the root, the menu was changed up and updated and the food is impressive. The Brussel sprouts appetizer was a definite crowd favorite. Personally I loved the homemade chocolate malt ice cream. We had the wagyu beef burgers and they were amazing!
