The food was authentic German. Reminded me very much of food that I fondly remember from 3 years of my life that I spent in Germany. The service was excellent. The beer was excellent, too. We enjoyed sitting outside, though the commuter trains were loud. But by 8:00 pm, there weren't any more trains, and it was very enjoyable. Vielen Dank!

Let's hope a new generation steps up to continue this restaurant. So many choices with prices going higher for each menu page. Well seasoned, flavorful, sumptuous dishes with paprika and mushrooms the star ingredients. Decor is comforting old style Bavarian. Not such an easy place to notice at the far end of Murphy Street.

It is not like real German food at all, but food with a German name. "Wiener Saft Goulash" especially tasted disappointing. " Scampi bordelaise" were not large prawns, but small shrimp. Also we made the mistake of not asking for the price before ordering their recommended dishes, since they charged us an unexpecting price ($39) for "Schweinshaxe", which was listed as approximately $25 in the menu.

Cozy, quiet relaxed spot to enjoy some brews and tasty food.

Super friendly staff. Enjoyed a few German beers I haven't had since visiting Germany. They even have kaese-spaetzler!
