Super-busy/Classic breakfast joint, since 1961 This place is an institution here in T.O. And once you've eaten here, you'll see why. Good food, fast service, family atmosphere. It's a winning combination. Be sure to try their waffle, but make sure to request the bacon be mixed into the batter. So good!

My son and I have been testing out the breakfast scene in Ventura county for a while now and for the most part the bulk of them disappoint, but not Harold’s. Harold’s is the diamond disguised as a dive. The parking is non-existent, the wallpaper is peeling, the carpet is soiled shades of brown, the glass table tops have more chips than Doritos and the curtains came from the Bates motel yard sale, but the food, oh the food, it’s 100% satisfying. We all have our own yardstick we carry with us when it comes to the perfect traditional breakfast- mine has been eggs n things for years- and I’m telling you Harold’s may replace your expectation, because it has mine. Perfect hash browns, perfectly cooked eggs, the most tender yet crispy chicken fried steak covered with an honest and delicious thick gravy. Harold’s doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel, they just make it perfectly round. Service is good, speed of food is fantastic, cost is on par with every other place. Harold’s is the proverbial “hole-in-the-wall” and it’s perfect.

What in the WORLD?!? I've NEVER had an omelette like THIS!! Tried the carnitas version. Can't recall what they named it. But OMG!! Not only ginormous, but flavor integrity up the wazu! We'll definitely be back!! What a hit!!

My coworker ordered the 5 piece chicken tenders. She got chicken tenders in burnt oil along with onion rings fom burnt oil. The lighter colored fried food was actually fish which made her sick. She cant tolerate fish and had to leave work early. But I heard breakfast there is great.

I used to eat there every weekend but the service has gone down. The waitress (and manager) has a nasty attitude. She has her daughter working there now, who is a teenager and has the same "skills" of the mother. No smiles, no please or thank you. I stopped going there because of this. I visited this placed again last weekend because my son wanted to eat there. Same unpleasant service. I must mention that if you are lucky enough to get one of the waiters (not the girls) your experience will be totally different.
