When I tell my family we're going to the hole-in-wall taco place they know I mean Javi's--excellent authentic Mexican food, a mom-and-pop simple little dining room with great energy. We started going there for the dollar-taco nights, but realized their other menu items are outstanding. Try the fajita burrito... It's huge--and so good before you know it you've finished it off.

I got the 2 jumbo chicken tacos. They were amazing. Filled with condiments. Also, it comes with some rice and beans. I am definitely going again.

They were great at one time. Now they can't get an order right no matter how many times you explain in any language. Today was a small issue but the one too many. There website hours say they are open. I just went downtown to find that they are not. Its bad enough I have to deal with this small town hours BS at least update your public postings about your business. Last year you rocked.....now you get 2 stars out of kindness.

The food is pretty good here, has a good flavor, everyone loves $1 taco days... But I see where they make it up. $9 for a burrito?!?!?!?! Are you kidding me? Lol I can name about 5 other equally tasting places to get a burrito the same size for $6 and under. Being only a stone throw away from all the taqueiras and trucks that come out at night, the price of the burritos has been a deciding factor many times for my family and I to NOT go here for dinner. Other than that nothing else to complain about, a fair 3 stars.

Javi’s Taco Shack never fails to impress! I work downtown and come every Tuesday with my coworkers for some asada tacos! You can’t go wrong with their asada! Cheap eats on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday! $1 tacos with your choice of meat.. doesn’t get any better!
