The meat is fantastic. The rest of the meal was lacking. Wilted salad, inattentive server, blah side items. The shortcomings could be easily fixed, and maybe it was an off night, but I expected a little bit more. Decor is unlike anything outside of a few places I've been that focus on big game mounts. Not a bad experience overall, it's the only place I've had a bone in high altitude bison ribeye. The list of places that offer such a cut would be short .

Excellent food and service. Done on a former brothel while imagining what it must have been like watching native Indians dragging pelts across the prairie outside the front door. Light rail stop is literally across the street so very convenient destination. See the first liquor license issued in Denver and the first cash register in Denver. A restaurant and museum all in one.

This is an amazing place. You can eat in the oldest restaurant in Denver and it won’t break the bank. Amazing historic atmosphere. Wonderful food and an inviting staff. I’ve lived here 24 years and wonder how I missed this gem.

Great service, great steaks! The atmosphere at Buckhorn is unique, with taxidermy animals and vintage hunting weapons lining the walls. Bring your relatives and friends and enjoy laughing at their reactions to all the animals while they eat meat!

Great place for a big group! We had a group of 6 of first time visitors and had a great time. The decor is unique with Western furniture and animals everywherr. Service was great . A little pricey for what you get and there aren't really much options for vegetable sides. The bread is amazing but careful or you'll fill up. Everything was delicious but the biggest let down was my request for medium rare steak was way closer done.
