Went to Black-eyed Pea today for Mother's Day .. It was awesome! Restaurant was so busy but waiters & Management still made time to make sure we were taken care of. The special menu they had today was great.. Grilled salmon was cooked to perfection & shrimp scampi was so tasty .. Thanks for making my Mother's Day special

Just flew in from Seattle and we stopped here to eat before getting to the Hotel. The first thing we noticed was this place was clean and it smelled like heaven. Our server was attentive, friendly and easy to talk to. He knew the menu and had excellent recommendations. Our food came out in a timely manner and looked amazing. Several of our party had the slow cooked pot roast and I had the bltt(turkey) and the cheddar broccoli soup. There were no leftovers. I highly recommend going here, the atmosphere is wonderful, the prices are reasonable add the staff makes it one of the more memorable moments of the trip.

The service was quick and the staff was friendly. I had the slow cooked pot roast with the squash casserole and fried okra. My sister had the chicken tenders with steamed broccoli and onion rings. I felt the pot roast was well cooked, superbly tender but the veggies accompanying it could he been more diverse and plentiful. I literally just got 2 baby carrots. The amount of potroast was kind of dainty and there was mostly the gravy. The fried okra was good but nothing special, but the squash casserole was. Next time I come back I'll get a double portion of that for sure. That is worth going to this place again. The tenders my sister had were juicy and tender and plentiful, and the ranch sauce was really tasty. Was a good place to get a quick bite. It wasn't busy but it was just after the lunch time rush.

Bad Service - The Hispanic waitress was very rude from the moment she approached me. She was busy gleefully attending the white patrons while ignoring me after my meal arrived. And to a certain extent even before. I asked for butter, did not receive any butter. Horrible experience. I sat waiting for my check for 10 min; wanting to leave I found a waiter to pay for my meal. Waste of money and time This place has horrible service and the environment is uncomfortably weird. Strange vibe.
