Great service. Our server Tammy was excellent.

Saying this restaurant was dissapointing is an understatement. The service was pitiful. Questions such as, "What kind of dressing do you want on your Caesar Salad?" and "Do you want your starter salads brought out with your entree?" only emphasized the inexpereince of our server. Despite our resounding "No," the entrees came out minutes after our salads. One need not look far to realize this restaurant is in disarray. Servers wander aimlessly from table to table with appetizers no one ordered. Our server would return on a few occasions to ask if our meal was "copasetic," and then offer to refill someone's drink. However, she always forgot the refills and, when reminded, frantically ran off to "get right on it," showing up still empty handed fifteen minutes later. Moreover, the food was much too expensive for its bland taste. A better burger could have been made on those public grills at your local park. The chicken was dry and tough. The "Greek" salad was anything but Greek: lacking cucumbers, olive oil, and feta cheese. Priced like a premium restaurant, the Cabin delivers premium disappointment. You'd be better off at your local Sizzler's rubbing elbows with that family of 8.

The service was terrible. Took very long to bring our bottle of wine. Saw other tables also waiting for beverage service. The table next to us ask the server how many tables he had after it took so long to get drinks. I sent back my baked potato (cold) and was finished eating long before he tried to bring it out. He did discount the meal. Finally brought it out even after telling him I didn't want it. The bus person was great. Much more attentive. The other table that ordered wine that took forever had just received their salads when entrees were brought out. Listened to them state that they have never had that happen. Seemed like the server would disappear for many minutes. The food was good but service was not worth the food. Don't go here.

Throughout my weekend at the Steamboat Grand I had multiple interactions with the staff at The Cabin. Every time I found them to be attentive, professional, and kind (I do want to mention that my first stop in was to request a hot water refill for my tea, they were even so kind as to offer me a new tea bag as well as some lemon). I was more than happy to return for some food. I found the atmosphere to be inviting and although there was a television in view from the bar I did not find it distracting. My companion went for a beef burger with onion rings while I went for the Blackened Blue Chicken sandwich. This sandwich was a thing of beauty, complete with cajun seasoning, blue cheese and caramelized onion on a brioche bun. Though the food did take a bit of time to come out I was happy to see they took the time to make the food with great care. The chicken was gently blackened while still retaining quite a bit of juiciness. The cajun seasoning added a slight kick while the blue cheese gave it some complexity I found most enjoyable. Though I did snap a picture I couldn't seem to capture the amazing essence of this sandwich so I promptly deleted it (my memory serves me well enough). My companion greatly enjoyed his beef burger as well as trying all the available hot sauces (4 to be exact). I was so distracted by the greatness of my own sandwich I honestly don't recall if I even tried a bit of his. I will most definitely be back for the great service and the great food the next time I am in the area.

Meh. Nothing special. Mediocre wine list. Ok if your are staying at the hotel. But don't go out of your way.
