Food was very good. Restaurant has nice decor and plenty of seating. Drinks from the bar was also good. I would give it more stars if the service had been better. Pretty much had to track down the waitress for drink refills. Place was not remotely busy.

Pretty nice hidden gem in an otherwise boring town. Good menu, good beer, nice people. Definitely worth stopping by if you're hungry and don't want fast food. Parking and entrance is behind the hotel. I will definitely be stopping back by here everytime I'm driving through.

Waitress nice but clueless. Do NOT order Mexican food from here. Salsa just tomato sauce. Chips thick and over fried. Homemade re fried beans flavorless. So disappointing. Really? Good Mexican food is SO easy to make. Don't put it on your menu unless you do it good.

I drive from Colorado to Texas and back multiple times a year. I always stop in Raton as a half way point and always eat at this establishment. I love it! Also seems to be a popular spot for the locals. Their menu has a lot of variety and I have yet to be disappointed with their food. The side salad itself is enough for a full meal. It's a good salad too, none of that bagged salad. Their BBQ is quite delicious as well! This time I had the chicken fried steak. They did well with that. I loved the batter. Their service was satisfactory. It's a great spot to stop in and grab a decent meal after being on the road for 8 hours plus. If you're staying overnight they also have a decent beer and liquor selection to further help you relax.

Food tasted great with GF options, just that service was not what I was expecting. Waitress was short, not responsive, & didn't seem to want to be there. Great environment though
