So much fun!! The first time we were nearby for an event on the water and decided to see what was happening on Bank Street. We opened the door to a bar and the lights were bright and there didn't seem to be much music. Not what we were feeling so we backed out and went further to Mambo which was so much fun! Delicious varieties of mojitos - coconut or passion fruit are our favorites. There are also tasty empenadas that go well after a night of dancing. Can't dance? Neither can I! People are very cool and helpful and will show you how if you're not sure. The staff remembered us from our first visit, which was about a year in between. So cool - a great place in New London!

The food was AMAZING! Full of taste and fresh! Soda drink refills are not free, so it is $3 something after one refill. My review would of been 5 ☆'s, however, our server was extremely sub-standard, who was a younger guy bartender. He NEVER checked-up on us, did not make us feel welcomed (we sat in a booth in the corner), and we had to wave him down, practically send him smoke signals to get his attention. Geez! I know he had a Bar to tend to, but it wasn't even busy at the bar! Like I said, the Dominican food here is AWESOME! We would definatley return soon.

Waitress was uninterested. Didnt smile once, never came back to the table once our food came. I ordered the sausage with yellow rice. The sausage was extremely overcooked, dry and tasteless as was the rice. I was approached by a panhandler asking for money during my meal. Overall not a pleasant experience. Wont be going back.

They couldn't get the bill right at all. I hope it was incompetence and not malice. Food was great though, just need to take care of the wait staff.

Food was a Goya-Adobo nightmare! Everything uses the same seasoning: Goya Adobo, which in my opinion, SUCKS! It makes everything extremely salty & imho, isn't how everything should taste. It's not even a "spice" that i use, nor would I recommend it, but for the clientele that frequents the place, i suppose it is fitting. No offense meant by that, but the food was not palatable due to the amount of salt in Adobo.
