Family run, with a staff that makes you feel like a regular the first time you visit. Excellent cream of crab soup, Maryland Crab soup, fried Oysters, and oysters on the half shell. Steamed clams by the dozen get you 13. The jambalaya is surprisingly true to it's Cajun roots (better than some New Orleans restaurants)... Make the effort. Meding's is worth the trip.

Today was my birthday and chose this restaurant to go to. Did the same last year. Food is very good but this was our second bad customer service experience. Last year I ate by myself instead of with my husband because the server did not tell me that what I ordered was not available until my husband's food was served. Tried to give it another chance this year only to have the server put in my order different from what I had asked for. Order had to be placed again so I ate alone on My birthday for the second time in two years. My husband felt so bad for me as he remembered what had happened the year before. Server brought out my meal knowing it was not correct. We were in no way compensated. Maybe a free drink? Maybe a comped cup of soup? Didn't happen. We will not try this another time.

Food is absolutely phenomenal. It is a casual seafood restaurant with really decent food portions. The prices are higher than an average restaurant but about par for a seafood restaurant. Wait staff was friendly and service was prompt, even though the place was packed.

Excellent seafood at a fair price. A must stop one way or the other every time we go to beach. Look for the big prop and stop.

Stoped by today for lunch with my dad and brother. Food was delicious. Shrimp and fish was fresh and good. Soup was awesome. Glad we stopped by.
