Artisan Burritos, in a Town Flooded with Burrito Options. Don't get me wrong, the Burritos here are big, tasty, and come in just about any flavor you can dream up. But, they are just swimming in competition. There are no less than 8 other Mexican & Specialty Burrito Shops in a 3 mile radius. El Diablo may be one of the top 3 most delicious, but they are also in the top 2 most expensive. A burrito with chips and a small soda can run you $15 to $19 dollars. Expensive usually doesn't go over well in college towns. But, the place is usually crowded, so they are obviously giving you your money's worth. I like them, but I can get a burrito almost as good for half the price at over half a dozen places in town. I'd give them 5 stars if they were just a little cheaper.

The burrito bowls are huge and the kids loved the soda fountain choices. Not just your typical sodas, less sweet and very good. Huge hit for a family of 5 that needed a quick but healthy meal out.

Best burrito place in Newark. They have a wider array of proteins than Qdoba, Moe's, or Chipotle I personally like the mushroom burrito and the fish is good too. They don't have questions but they have 4 cheese options. They have multiple pepper options. Additionally, they have more sauces. The only demerits are personal problems (I obviously didn't deduct any stars in my ratings). For instance, they don't have vegetarian pinto beans and their sodas aren't as good as Coke/Pepsi products. On the plus side, they have nicer bathrooms than most counter service restaurants

Loved El Diablo! My new favorite fast service taco/burrito stop. Fresh ingredients, good service and great location.

The menu board can be a bit daunting, because of all the interesting options, but you cannot go wrong ordering one of their suggested cobinations. Or take a suggestion and Frankenstein it up to your own specifications. Any way you choose, you're going to get something delicious! (Be warned, the portions are huge.)
