Fun local eatery, frequented by Newark locals and University of Delaware students. Half-priced burgers all day on Mondays. Pretty sure they have other good specials other days of the week as well. Vegetarian and vegan options are available but not as tasty/prevalent as the meat options (compared to Home Grown, for example, where some vegetarian options are arguably better than the meat ones). However, Kate's is a great option for comfort food.

It's a family-oriented place but mostly college kids but it's a fun and upbeat restaurants to eat in and be friendly with family friends and classmates waiters and waitresses were great food was awesome and prices were very reasonable. Would definitely go there again had a very enjoyable time.

Good experience. Our waiter Jack was exceptional. Saw him take over other tables when their wait staff was unavailable. Don't see that often...kudos to Jack! Food was good and worth the price.

I had a nice lunch experience here. Cheerful service, order arrived quickly, GF options specified on the menu, which was nice and clear. The seared tuna appetizer that I had for my entree was really good (perhaps a bit underseasoned for my taste...but that was corrected with some salt.) I'll be back when I get a chance.

I'm sure this place is great for college kids to go out drinking, but the food wasn't good, the service was below average and it was way too crowded and loud for a family lunch. They make a great Bloody Mary, though.
