Total nightmare! This one time mainstay of Las Olas has been eviscerated, gutted and ruined by pretentious overpriced food and decorations more suited to a brothel. I say this not to be mean but honest, there are many good restaurants that deserve your money and patronage on Las Olas, One example is,across the street at the new restaurant El Camino you’ll see it packed with happy people enjoying a great atmosphere and food. (I have no affiliation with that restaurant.) As a Google Guide in good standing, I feel responsible to say this negative review is necessary. My advice to investors in this restaurant, Cut your losses and act quickly to make major changes to this disaster investment. People are looking for quality and fun, I found neither in this once good restaurant, that is now confused as to whether it’s a trashy nightclub or poorly run overpriced restaurant. Any positive review here in google,in my opinion must be from friends of the owners, or people that didn’t experience this establishment. Of course you’ll see five star reviews of a year ago when it was a totally different restaurant with the same name. So much time and money wasted! So sorry to say.

Terrible experience and very misleading event. The advertisement is, "VIP SERVICE WITH A FREE BOTTLE", showing up with 6 other people 20 min after arriving, we got no bottle and empty promises. From that point on, they offered us a consolidation after we complained about having to wait 2 and a half hours for their "FREE BOTTLE". Coming from Oklahoma, there are maybe 4 clubs total in the metro area compared to Florida's many clubs and restaurants that I have seen so far around this state. So I imagine alot more traffic for service and alot more staff, but this location seemed like they weren't even close to ready for a fill up restaurant as the bar service was slow and short staffed. Very disappointing for a place to openly have false advertising but to also be treated by the host Diana Sal with the smallest attention to our concerns until multiple people complain about the event. The host, audio man and the bartender serving the dance floor were all wonderful and I hope they find a better situation than the poorly run bar/restaurant that I have seen in a long time. Having served for 8 years, I felt disrespected by the host because we had to fork over tip money from myself and another gentleman because only "guys tip" according to Diana. a minimum of 10 dollars a piece when no bottle or server was even present in an okay traffic crowd. Stay away from their free cover charge and their no bottle "VIP" service.

My husband and I visited the new Mangoes last night for dinner since it’s the spot of our first date, 10 years ago. As you walk in you see the back bar and dance floor and greeted by the hostess. The music was so loud I yelled to the hostess asking for a table for 2. We were quickly sat on the opposite wall of the music but could now hear it at a more reasonable decibel. The new decor is.....interesting. The color scheme, theme and overall ambiance definitely has a Caribbean vibe but something is way off. The lighting is also very poor as in its very bright and the green color lighting from the walls is weird. It’s better than 10 years ago and yet oddly strange. Our serve Stephanie deserves 5 stars. Amazing service, very friendly, quick and catered to my birthday requests to the T. She’s great!!!! We ended up getting a comped meal due to an unrelated incident so even better! The food was a 3. Nothing great but also it wasn’t bad. Overall I gave 3 stars mainly due to decor, noise, so so food, and the energy is just.....weird.

The decor of a slaughterhouse, white floor with blood stricks. It was also overwhelmingly bright inside, brighter than outside in the sun. Food wise, No substitute would not me change regularly fries with sweet potato fries. The calamari was like chewing on a tire. We did not get our drinks until we ordered food. Will I eat here again, NO. Will i recommend, NO
