Food was far better than expected! The brunch buffet was phenomenal, had incredible choices, and was well worth every penny. The staff and head chef all made rounds to the table to ask how the experience was and to small talk - it was nice. The environment was very pleasant sitting out on the patio listening to the jazz music. There was not a single dissatisfaction throughout the entire experience, and will definitely be visiting a lot more in the future. Highly suggested!

Friendly staff, spectacular dishes, best garlic rolls of my life! The sangria was refreshing. The Chicken Agave will always be my favorite! We’ve never had to wait too long to be seated and getting our food took a reasonable amount of time. Definitely a destination for Gainesville.

706 is a long-standing veritable institution in Gainesville. It is beloved. Why? The food is good, the decor and ambience is charming and cozy, the wines are gorgeous (and I sell wines - they choose wines very well) and just ridiculously well-priced with very low markups (I know what they pay for their wines).... But I honestly think that the biggest reason for their having a cult status is the nature of the two owners, Mark and Steve. They treat everyone, they treat the world as a dear friend, a family member. They are generous to a fault. I bet that profit was never their goal. When you come in as a guest, and you wait for a friend to arrive to join you at dinner, you sit in their little lobby and they come out and ask you if you would like a glass of wine while waiting. If they see that you are celebrating a special occasion, they will approach your table with Champagne on the house. To Mark and Steve, each guest is like family coming home for dinner. That is really rare. They are really rare. Going to Leonardo's 706 for dinner is like going home. It's cozy, yummy, and the service is top, top, top. Why? Again because Mark and Steve love and care and appreciate their staff. (And they choose the most interesting, fetching, thoughtful people to be servers and cooks.) With all this praise you might think that I am related to them. I am not. I am just a very long-time observer of this dear, sweet, cozy place. Bravo, Mark and Steve for doing so beautifully and so consistently for so many years!

The food was excellent, but got an overall feeling of a place that just didn't fit together, a strange hodgepodge with the atmosphere, attire and style of food. Our server friendly when he noticed us but overall very inattentive. Four stars because our food was really good. Not sure it was good enough to go back with the service and prices.

The quality and taste of the food is good, but the portions are too small for my lumberjack appetite. Ladies have said that they are okay with the portions. I just want more food if I am paying $20 for a dinner.
