Edit: It turns out that there's price change sort of, so I bumped my rating up a little. However, the rating will remain low because nothing was said to me. It's not hard at all to tell a customer that there's been a price change, especially when the price change was *not* marked on the menus available at the time :/
BE CAREFUL!!!!! I highly recommend getting a receipt for your purchases, even if there is a long line. INSIST on it. I went in to buy three cookies tonight because I had a craving. I gave the cashier my card, and she charged me $1.91 instead of $1.59 for three cookies*. I guess she thought I wouldn't notice, but I am always careful to check the screen to see the amount I paid. Usually, the total is correct, so I got used to just only glancing afterwards and going away. I was really surprised and upset to see that upon a second glance, I was overcharged. At first, I was like, okay, I guess it's just a wee little error. However, the employees were not caring at all. They said it was impossible to prove that I was overcharged and that there was no way to go back into the system to check. That's just BS. I worked in a sub shop before, and it is totally possible to see what was previously rung up, especially if it's a situation like mine where the order was *JUST* rung up and nobody else made a payment yet.
Yes, it is a 32 cents difference, BUT if I only gave them $1.27 for the cookies, would they have let me walk out with with the cookies? NOPE. Luckily for them, I didn't feel like putting up a fuss tonight, but if this ever happens again, I will firmly stay there until I am properly compensated. I wonder how many other poor, indebted college students they've been screwing over.....
*Also, just in case you think I might've just read the screen wrong, I actually went home and checked my banking account, and sure enough, I was charged the $1.91.
