Stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday . We were seated right away and brought a giant glass of water which was perfect on a hot day! I wanted to eat a healthier meal, so happy to see many decent choices. I got the grilled chicken , sweet potato and had to get the okra ( it’s a southern thing :) . The okra was fried but not at all greasy . The chicken was flavorful ~ two nice size portions. The server was so friendly and did a wonderful job. Good prices and a nice atmosphere.

I expected better. The pulled pork had little smoke flavor and was very generic. Absolutely nothing special at all. The vegetables tasted like cafeteria food. Poorly seasoned and bland. The ribs were decent and the best item we had out of everything. Again they were not special but at least had a decent smoke flavor. I won’t eat here again.

Excellent food. Smoked chicken was so delicious you didn't need to use sauce! Collards have the down home goodness and I loved their corn fritters. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Servers are fast and courteous!

Short wait for a table of 10, the host came out and engaged with our children and promised them free ice cream after dinner. They were excited the whole time and happy to eat their awesome dinner. Free ice cream arrived as promised and the kids remember Mr. "alley cat brown"
