Food terrible! Service not very good as they don't have to try since they charge automatic 18%gratuity on all bills. Not sure about kitchen cleanliness as good is made next door and then carried over through empty building.

No. Do not go here. While the friendly, traditionally dressed outside hostess was attractive and knowledgeable about why the restaurant is so named, (to evoke the pre-Castro Fulgencio Batista regime) the food and service were sub par. We ordered the Lunch Special, supposedly a half roasted chicken, and were presented with quarter chickens. When we politely complained to the waiter he feigned incomprehension. Not 'understanding' our request, he would not give us menus so we could show him his mistake, so my wife had to photograph the illustrated display board listing the price and show him. Still no dice. We then summoned the manager. After first telling us we were mistaken, then being confronted with his own display board, he said as a very special offer, 'just for us', that he would bring extra portions. The food was bland. We considered dessert, only to be told that what we wanted (Key Lime Pie) was not on the menu and not served there anyway. I practically had to force the waiter to look at said menu, which was illustrated with a photo of the dessert we were trying to order. Then he told us they had no more of it, although this was fairly early during the lunch hour. We asked for the bill, only to find that apart from a compulsory (dis)service charge, an additional small sum had been added, marked 'Resort Tax'. I've never seen that on a bill in Miami before or since. Tired of the whole thing, we simply paid up and left. If you want a similar experience, by all means head to this 'eatery' without delay.

Great location, nice drinks selection and good food. The menu is not too big, but offers plenty of delights. I ordered fried pork as an appetizer along with a sampler triage of main course (added additional grilled which was a good call), as well as a premium Mojito. Overall, I was happy with the food and service and would recommend this place.

The place has a nice atmosphere and the staff is ok. But the signature chicken dish was very dry and I still had to pay for it. The toilet leaves a lot to be desired as well. Would not recommend.
