In short: They overcharged our credit cards, basically stealing from us, the waiter was unfriendly and manipulative (his supervisor was nice, though), the place is rather expensive (food is decent), the manager was rude, uncooperative, and a lot of things I won't say. I strongly discourage anyone from going there. Long Story: We were wandering the streets and this guy came up to us, promoting 9beach, promising free hookah (shisha) and live music and he gave us a flyer promising 10% off of the whole tab. A great deal we could not resist. We told him we'd go to the beach first, but we'd drop by later. He even offered to set up a table for us in advance, since we were 12 people. So after our interlude at the beach, we showed up. The place looked rather fancy and the prices were a bit above what we'd usually spend (we are all college students), but considering that we'd get free hookah we thought it's still a good deal. So we sat down, and as the first few of us contented themselves with ordering water instead of drinks, the waiter declared he'd bring water for the whole table anyways, and those who want something extra should speak up. That seemed like a nice gesture, little did we know that we'd be served the most expensive bottled water they had in stock (or at least according to our impression, around eight dollars a bottle). As the guy came up with the fancy bottles and started unscrewing them, I realized that we'd be paying a decent sum of money for those, instead of just receiving the usual pitcher of iced tap water. But since we were offered free hookah, I felt like they had to somehow make some money off of us college kids, so I didn't say anything. With the check came another surprise: We were charged 30 dollars per hookah. We could not believe it. We were manipulated into buying expensive water and they went back on their promise of offering free hookahs (the live band didn't show up either by the way). So we started arguing. As soon as the waiter realized that we weren't happy with the bill, he was very hard to get a hold of. When he finally realized we weren't going to quietly accept them ripping us off, he quickly got his supervisor. His supervisor was a nice guy, but reluctant to take the hookah off of the bill, since, apparently, the offer was only valid until nine-o'clock. No one had mentioned that and it wasn't specified on the 10% off flyer that we had received. Apparently, the guy should have given us a different flyer, where the time was specified. Since this wasn't the deal we were offered and we specifically came for the free hookah we wouldn't just pay over a hundred dollars for something we hadn't signed up for. So we talked to the manager who only made a very brief appearance. I suspect he realized that we had a very solid case and he didn't want to deal with it. So we were left to talk to the supervisor. He was visibly uncomfortable going against the will of his boss, but since he couldn't refute our claim, he took the hookah off the check and we ended up paying for the overpriced water, some food, and a few drinks. We tipped generously, since we felt bad for the guy. When we got back from our trip and checked our bank accounts, we realized that we were all overcharged (ranging from 7 to 18 dollars). I strongly discourage anyone from going there.

Rained all day the day I went, so while it had stopped for a couple hours the place was understandably quiet on a wet, cool Friday night. My party was one of two there. Menu was nothing special, cocktails and food were just OK - I started with an ancho margarita, bruschetta, and grouper lettuce wraps, then moved on to spaghetti carbonara with a glass of pinot noir... Nothing really stood out, bad or good. Server was bored, hung around to talk which was pleasant, until it was awkward. Couldn't recommend it.

They overcharged my credit card, mean staff. Water costs $8.
