My Mother & I visited Naples, FL for the weekend (Nov. 2017) and our hotel (Naples Inn) had a kiosk in the lobby for local attractions. We went on a Saturday evening for dinner to Grouper & Chips. The staff is friendly and attentive and work together. We both had seafood bisque (the broth was rich and packed with plenty of seafood), which was fabulous. I ordered "Fried Grouper" (fresh and nicely seasoned) & my Mother had "Fried Shrimp". The restaurant is quite small (only seats about 24) and very tight fit. They are not ADA Accessible and there is (1) steep step to enter.

“Modesty” is the key word at this local fish eatery. The atmosphere when we walked in was as if we had stumbled across lost treasure, and the other diners knew what we were in for. The walls are lined with tacky and funny sayings and fish art. The radio played a hushed reggae tune so softly you almost forgot about it. A young woman furiously patrols the dining room (which is small enough to fit in most naples residents’ coat closet) checking on her guests as if they were her own family. The food is impeccable. I had the warm and juicy grouper and fries basket. Everything I saw around me looked good too. Give grouper and chips a try, and unless you’re looking for pretentious vibes and extra legroom, you won’t be let down.

Been going for 15 years and never been disappointed. The Wednesday Salmon with sweet potatoes coating is to die for. The special on Friday nights is fantastic. Love love love love the sweet Potato fries. Wish they had them all year. Love the soup! Love the blackened fish tacos! Love love the deep fried grouper. Cole Slaw is great. I admire the wait staff in such a small incredibly busy place they keep their cool. They are very sweet to my Yorkie "Dukie".

I ate all of my meal and it was good enough. Linguini and grouper and the portion was appropriate. I always think to myself would I run back and do this again. And I wouldn’t. Been here twice but just wasn’t overwhelmed either time. I can’t nail what it is - maybe too much spice...can’t figure it out. Satisfactory but not spectacular (to me).

I love this place! While visiting for a birthday celebration it has become a must go to place each visit! The service is warm and friendly. And the food... Well the food.... Is ahhh-maze-zing! A must try!
