Rolls were rock hard, salad was old, and the interior is very dated. I have the feeling that the place is stuck in a nineties time warp. Seems to me that the place was great, bit they got stuck in a rut and couldn't keep up with change. However there is one very shining difference. The prime rib is great. This restaurant would get one or two stars if it wasn't for that. So if you like prime rib give it a shot. Oh and as an afterthought, I found the restaurant very clean and the staff very pleasant. So give it a shot and perhaps this place could be revived. But definitely stick to the prime rib.

Under new ownership, value of food has went down greatly. Pepper decoration on plate more important then timeliness of getting food out. We used to be able to get a good meal and be out in a reasonable time. Hard to say I would go back since changes. Gave new owners 2 visits after taking over about 2 weeks apart. Timing didn't get any better.

Didn't care for the host guy.. There was no one to seat us so we say down and he made us move which was fine .. Just the way he approached us. . oh so you seated yourself? Oh well.. Good was ok but prices kinda steep.. Paid three dollars for a cup of coffee to go and it was awful...

The food was very tasty, quality and portion was very good. However waiting for 1 hr while there were only 6 tables occupied was a bit too long. We had to ask for the bread and the salad which was supposed to be included in the dinner. We were never offered side choices with the meal. The meal arrived with sides that we didn't order and part of the main dish was missing.

Apparently there are new owners the last few months..so I read the reviews and most said the kitchen was slow. I called and asked if the menu was the same..I was told yes...which was a bit of a fib. The prior owners had 10 entrees under $10 the new people got rid of that. As stated, even though several of the new reviews said the kitchen service was unacceptable slow...we decided to go anyways. Place was not very busy, our waitress (Jeanine) was awesome...the food good when it finally came. 20 minutes after our salad came I was informed that the kitchen didn't have the Penne Pasta I ordered and would I like a different one. My question was."why are you telling me this now, didn't the kitchen read the order when it came in 30 minutes ago". So I order another pasta..15 minutes goes by no food. I get up and speak to the "person in charge", he was very understanding and asked what it was he could do for me. I point to the table where seated was my 94 year old mother, two of her friends and my partner and I said..."well I'd buy that table a drink to start with" He says "I'm not authorized to do that" I asked who was and he said the manager I said "OK let me speak to the manager"...he says "you can't she just left". So here is a restaurant that is under new ownership, is getting ripped on social media for slow kitchen service, it's 7:45pm on a Holiday Friday and the manager has left, and whoever they left in charge is really not authorized to do anything. Great model for success. The food was eventually good. I felt bad for the waitress. To have to deal with a ridiculously slow kitchen and obviously a management team that doesn't quite get it. When we left (over 2 hours later) I saw on the outside sign that Brunch is coming soon...My thought is they might want to fix what they currently have before they try something new. Will never be going back...Nikos was a fun well run place before...now it seems like it is amateur hour in the kitchen.
