Poor manager service. We went on Friday night with a large party. We split into 3 groups so we could get faster service. I was with a group of 7 and a group of six was seated right after us. 4 more sat at the counter. The group of 7 ordered first but the group of 6 ordered right after us. Both groups ordered burgers and shakes. We got our drinks timely. The other group didn't get drinks until right before we got our food. The other group didn't get their food until after our group had finished eating. We asked to see the manager when other groups who ordered after them got their food. Manager wouldn't come out to the tables The group of 6 had to get their food to go. Only when we were paying and asked to speak to manager did she come to the front. Her only excuse was they were busy. They were not that busy to have that poor service. Food would be 4 stars.

Horrible experience. Got into town late, headed to this location. Initially wanted to run through the drive through but an orange cone indicated the drive through was closed. Went inside, place was about half full. Waited by the register for 15 minutes and no one acknowledged us standing there but all the employees looked right at us a few times each. One table actually got up and got their own drinks they had waited so long. The manager was the one cooking...nothing. We just walked out. So disappointed!!! Rude staff...NEVER AGAIN!!!

Worst service ever. Our waitress got the order wrong and gave us a hard time for it, had to wait for a long time for our check until she figured it out. We asked for napkins and never got any. I don't understand why places like this quit giving you napkins. Is there a world shortage? Charge me $.50 more and give me a couple of napkins. Had to use napkins I had in my purse, from McDonald's of all places! I like their food, but the service plays a big role in where I'm going to eat. Not eating at this particular Stake 'n Shake ever again. Plenty of other options.

FILTHY DIRTY restaurant!!! I really like Steak 'N Shake but this location is a mess. WHY does your bathroom always smell like a diaper dumpster?? Please clean the entire place, seeing dead bugs on the window sills is disgusting and the walls next to the booths need the food splatters removed. Ketchup and mustard bottles are dirty and salt/pepper shakers are filthy too. Have the floors ever been mopped?? I hate that I ALWAYS have to wipe the seat cushion before I sit down because it has grease or crumbs. And how on Earth do you run out of fries and onion rings??? and when you do have fries, PLEASE change the oil frequently, they don't taste good with old oil. I really wish there were another Steak 'N Shake in this city. The health department really needs to get involved with this location, it's nasty!!!

Food simply wasn't good. French fries were cold. Burger came with BBQ sauce and crunchy onions. It only had a dab of BBQ sauce in the middle of it and the crunchy onions (that were out of a can) were refrigerator cold. I've always loved Steak and Shake but this probably ruined it for me.
