Miyako has always been a good Chinese/Sushi buffet for the price. On our most recent visit it seems that there has been a change for the better. The selection and quality of the Sushi has increased greatly, the rolls use to be just your old run of the mill rolls you could order at any sushi place but on our recent visit they had a much larger and unique variety of rolls. A couple of my favorites were the ones with fruits such as strawberries and mango. One of them was drizzled with a sweet white cream sauce. Another thing I’ve always enjoyed about the sushi buffet is that almost all of the rolls have been labeled with the ingredients so that customers know what they are eating. Also in this visit the service we received was exceptional, whenever we were finished with a plate it was removed from our table quickly and they always noticed when our drinks were low so that we never had to wait for a refill. It also felt like the inside of the restaurant had been updated and it was much cleaner than before, it is a place I will look forward to returning to.

I've been to this establishment several times without having any problem in the past. This time was different, I found hair in my crab legs. I showed it to the waitress, and she offered to get me a another plate of crab legs. She said she would steam them. I agreed that she could. When she brought the plate back it was the same crab legs as before. I knew because I had started cracking one before I found the hair, and the same one was on top. When I asked her about it she said she wakes it off with hot water. I was disgusted. When she brought the bill. I questioned her about a discount, because of the hair in food she then went on to explain that it wasn't her hair, but one of the customers. When she came back with the bill they had only taken off the tax which was 4.00. it was a 70.00 bill. As I was sitting my receipt she comes over and points to the tip amount and tells me to fill it out. I was appalled. I never had this happen to me before. I left a very small tip. I'm always tip 18% of the bill, but that day I didn't. I am upset at how they handle this situation. It could been handled on a professional level. I even asked to speak to the manager and she never came to the table.

I added 69 photos to this place because every photo was worth it the buffet has been the best buffet I've been to and all of the world actually even the morning buffet brunch at the Don cesare in St Pete Treasure Island Florida it beats everything they have lobster crab scallops jumbo prawns oysters On the Half-Shell smoked oysters oysters with black bean and garlic sauce Hibachi everything you could possibly imagine fresh wonderful and plenty of it. The bathrooms were spotless so is the floor everybody that work there was working hard with a smile things were being refilled constantly. This place is a wonderful place to go if you're by yourself like I was tonight or if you have an entire family as I left they were sitting apart a table for 17 and a table for 14. The price was unbelievable on the weekend it was $20.99 with tax but I'm talking Lobster Vancouver crab oysters on the half shell Prince Edward Island mussels scallops everything you can possibly imagine they had going on there tonight

We usually go to Ichiyami but heard great things about Miyako so we decided to give it a try...not worth it at all. The sushi was way out of temp, it was warm, and discolored. The hot food was decent but again out of temp (not warm enough) and not worth the price. There were fruit flies every where, flying around the tables, the food, every where! The atmosphere on line looks beautiful but in person is dark and dimly lit. Ichiyami may be a couple of dollars more BUT the food quality, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere is worth every penny. ** Also, you must pay for any unfinished food on the plate! It is not disclosed to you by the server or the hostess when being seated...but there is a sign taped to a wall that states that you will be charged for any unfinished/wasted food. *****

IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE ZERO STARS I WOULD. THE FOOD IS DRY AND OLD. TRIED TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER AND SHE HAD AN ATTITUDE WHEN I TOLD HER THE FOOD WAS NOT UP TO THE STANDARDS WITH THE REVIEWS I HAVE SEEN ONLINE. I HAVE CAME HERE ALL THE WAY FROM SUNRISE, FL SOLEY FOR THE REVIEWS. AND THE FOOD WAS DISGUSTING. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER TO LOWER THE PRICE FOR ME BECAUSE THE FOOD WASNT GOOD AT ALL. ALL SHE DIS WAS GIVE ME 10 PERCENT. SHE ALSO STATED THAT I WAS SAYING I WAS REFUSING TO PAY FOR THE FOOD WHEN I WAS NOT I TOLD HER COUNTLESS TIMES I JUST DO NOT BELIEVE THE FOOD WAS WORTH THE PRICE THAT IT WAS. BUT I UNDERSTAND THAT I ATE SOME SO I WOULD HAVE TO PAY. BUT SHE IS STILL REFUSING TO MEET EYE TO EYE WITH ME. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT COME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. YOU ARE WASTING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! NOT ONLY IS THE FOOD DISGUSTING, BUT THE MANAGER IS RUDE ALONG WITH THE EMPLOYEES. DO NOT COME HERE WASTE OF MONEY!
